The Fulbright Foreign University offered Scholarship in every year. Fulbright Foundation is offering scholarships for international students all over the world in USA. These scholarships are offered for those students who want to pursue their MS and PhD study program in the USA universities under the Fulbright Foundation scholarship. The aim of the university to help the students who wants to complete their degree in USA. Young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States at U.S. universities or other academic institutions

Scholarship Description

Fulbright scholarships provide many grants for the applicants, these following grants are:

• Funds tuition
• Airfare funds
• Living stipend
• Health insurance

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must fulfill some criteria:

Applicant must have undergraduate education and hold a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

Applicants must have excellent academic record

Applicants must visit USA embassy in that one’s country or Fulbright council office which is present in almost every country.

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme 2016

The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies.  Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year.

The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), alongside its sister Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) agencies, has implemented innovative, community-driven solutions to development challenges for more than 45 years.

Scholarship Details

The Foundation assists students with tuition fees and living expenses only.

The cost of travel is not included in AKF scholarships.  

Half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan, which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge of 5%.

A guarantor is required to co-sign the loan agreement.

The payback period is five years, starting six months after the study period funded by the Aga Khan Foundation.

Eligibility Countries

The Foundation accepts applications from nationals of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar and Mozambique. In France, Portugal, UK, USA and Canada, applications are accepted from those who are originally from one of the above developing countries, are interested in development-related studies and who have no other means of financing their education. Preference is given to students under 30 years of age

Eligibility Criteria

The Foundation only accepts applications of eligible nationals listed above who are residing in one of the countries where there are local Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), or Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) offices which process applications and interview candidates.

Excellent academic records

Genuine financial need

Admission to a highly reputable university or programme of study

Relevance of the field of study to AKDN’s focus areas

Candidates are also evaluated on demonstrating thoughtful and coherent educational and career plans, their extra-curricular interests and achievements, potential to achieve their goals and likelihood to succeed in a foreign academic environment.

Applicants are expected to have some years of work experience in their field of interest.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicant’s age doesn’t exceed (35) years For PhD, and (30) years for Masters.

Applicant must have a university degree from an accredited college or university and should have a degree with “very good” at least.

An approved exam in English is required for applicant whose first language is not English. The approved exams and minimum required scores are listed below:

Scholarship Benefits

A monthly bursary of SR 1,900 

A preparation allowance when coming for the first time of SR 1,800.

The candidate would receive the health care

Providing an accommodation and facilities.

Subsidized meals can be provided for the candidate.

A total sum of SR 4,000 for PhD, and SR 3.000 for masters' allowance for printing the thesis.

An allowance of SR 2,700 for shipping books (when graduated).

Providing the candidate with a two-way ticket annually.
